Central Air Conditioning & Air Source Heat Pumps |
|
Southern Iowa Electric offers a rebate for the installation of energy efficient air to air heat pumps and central air-conditioners.
Heat pumps utilize existing “free” heat in the outside air to keep your family comfortable all year long. Even when the temperatures dip below freezing, a heat pump can extract heat from the air and use it to warm your home. In the summer, it removes the heat from your home to keep you cool.
Central air-conditioners remove the heat and humidity from your home during the summer, keeping you cool and comfortable.
Rebate requirements are as follow:
All heat pumps and air-conditioners must be listed in the Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Institute (ARI) Directory. Units must also have a minimum SEER/EER rating of 14.5 to qualify for the rebate.
- Air-Source Heat Pumps (HSPF 8.5 or greater = $150 PLUS the Central-Conditioner Incentive).
- Central Air-Conditioning rebate payment schedule is as follows:
- 14.5 SEER/EER = $200
- 15.5 SEER/EER = $300
- 16.5 SEER/EER = $400
- Rebate applications must include the unit’s Make, Model Number and Serial Number for both the condenser (pictured top) and the coil (pictured bottom).
- A copy of the sales receipt must accompany the rebate application.
